DigiPen USA LLC is seeking a Student TA for the Animation - 3D Game project. The role supports DigiPen students in their art production, rigging, and asset pipelines, with flexible scheduling outside core lab hours.

Ideal candidates are DigiPen matriculated students with a background in 3D art and Unity/Unreal experience. Work is on-site in Redmond, WA, 8 hours per week, Fall to Spring terms, with strict attendance near lab hours.

Qualifications

  • Must be a DigiPen Institute of Technology student.
  • Student workers must reside in Washington state and cannot work when classes are scheduled.
  • Familiarity with 3D art production and game asset pipelines is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Assist students in a 3D game art production pipeline and establish best practices for assets.
  • Review early skeletons, rigs, animation plans, and workflows; provide feedback to students.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to 3D game art assets, camera, lighting, and material shaders.
  • Support instruction by helping teams meet milestones and producing placeholders to help shape game mood.
  • Schedule blocks of work hours with instructors and assist Junior teams with art export pipelines and team dynamics.
  • Communicate regularly with instructors, teams, and other TAs; provide verbal/written feedback and progress reports.
