Job summary

WSB is seeking a GIS/Remote Sensing Specialist to extract 3D vector features from mobile LiDAR, imagery, and aerial data. You will perform QA/QC using Mach9 and TopoDOT and produce GIS/CAD-ready datasets aligned to client specs.

Role requires attention to geometric accuracy, data completeness, and development of repeatable workflows. Office-based in Minneapolis with occasional travel may be required. Full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, GIS, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of mobile mapping data processing and 3D feature extraction.
• Experience in QA/QC of spatial data and meeting project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Extract 3D vector features from mobile LiDAR, imagery, and aerial datasets.
• Perform feature extraction and QA workflows with Mach9 and TopoDOT.
• Produce attribute-complete vector datasets in GIS/CAD formats per specs.
• Review features for geometric accuracy and data completeness before delivery.
• Develop repeatable extraction workflows for recurring project types.
• Support peer review and communicate progress to Remote Sensing or Survey Manager.
• Stay current with mobile mapping tech and propose workflow improvements.
• Adhere to QA, safety, and data management standards.
• Communicate technical information clearly to project teams and management.
