Job summary

Actalent seeks a 3D Custom Designer to translate client goals into production-ready 2D graphics and 3D concepts for trade shows, exhibits, and corporate environments. You will collaborate with clients, sales, PM, and fabrication to deliver creative, accurate solutions while maintaining a Mac-based workflow.

The role emphasizes autonomy in a small, close-knit team, onsite in Windsor Mill, MD, with opportunities to influence a wide range of projects and maintain high design standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred.
• 3+ years in graphic design or related role.
• Experience producing line drawings and 3D renderings for fabrication.
• Proficiency with CAD and 3D tools like Vectorworks/SketchUp.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 2D graphics for displays and exhibits.
• Develop 3D exhibit concepts and renderings for fabrication.
• Prepare show drawings, specs, and design documentation.
• Produce client-facing presentation materials and support design reviews.
• Collaborate with sales, PM, and fabrication to meet budgets and timelines.
• Maintain organized Mac-based design workflow and file management.
• Manage multiple active projects across displays and trade shows.
• Ensure designs support space function, branding, and interaction.
