Job summary

Tier1usa is seeking a skilled 3D CAD Drafter to support manufacturing and sales of diverse products. You will draft new drawings, update instructions, and collaborate with engineers to produce manufacturing and customer-approval drawings.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred), basic SolidWorks Enterprise PDM knowledge, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time, on-site role with travel to manufacturing locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with 3D CAD programs, preferably SolidWorks.
• Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• Two-year CAD degree preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain accuracy.
• Strong communication to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We’re looking for a3D CAD Drafter.This position is responsible for drafting and detail functions as necessary to support the manufacturing and sales of various products.

Key Responsibilities

• Create new drawings as required to replace obsolete or missing files.
• Review and update existing manufacturing instructions for production using word processing programs.
• Work with product and plant engineers to create manufacturing instructions for production.
• Production of customer approval drawings for use by our sales department.
• Work with digital imaging software to include digital photos in manufacturing instructions and sales presentations.
• Assist in manufacturing record issues.
• Assist engineers with various products & tooling design projects

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Prefer a minimum of 3years experience working with 3D computer aided drafting programs (CAD), preferably SolidWorks.
• General knowledge of SolidWorks Enterprise PDM is desirable, but not required.
• Experience working in Windows OS & Microsoft Office products.
• Demonstrates initiative, customer orientation and teamwork competencies.
• Good verbal & written communication skills including the ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people.
• Ability to work with minimal direct supervision, and preform repetitive tasks while remaining focused on accuracy.
• Ability to take and record accurate dimensions with a variety of measuring tools/instruments.
• Prefer a two year degree in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD).
