Job Description

As a Nurse Extern, your responsibilities include:

• Performing specific tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Demonstrating accountability for assigned patients during your shift or assignment.
• Seeking learning opportunities and guidance from appropriate personnel.

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or a Registered Nurse, the Nurse Extern will carry out routine patient care assignments, work in controlled care situations, and perform established nursing procedures for individuals or groups of patients.

Qualifications include:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Nursing.
• Completed at least one (1) semester of medical-surgical clinical rotation.
• AHA BLS certification.
