Position:Data Entry Specialist (Property Management)

Type of contract:Independent contractor

About the Role:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to maintain accurate property and tenant records, streamline operations, and support our leasing and financial teams. Your work will ensure seamless workflows, timely reporting, and compliance across our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Database Management:

  • Accurately input and update lease agreements, tenant information, payments, and maintenance logs in AppFolio, Buildium, or Yardi.
  • Audit records for discrepancies and resolve data integrity issues.

2. Reporting & Documentation:

  • Generate monthly reports (occupancy rates, rent rolls, delinquency tracking) for property managers and owners.
  • Prepare move-in/move-out documentation and lease renewals.

3. Process Automation:

  • Set up automated workflows (rent reminders, invoice approvals, maintenance requests) to improve efficiency.
  • Assist in migrating manual processes to digital systems.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1+ years in data entry, preferably in property management or real estate.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and property management software.
  • Typing speed of 80+ WPM with 99% accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle sensitive data confidentially.
  • Bonus: Experience with Zapier/Airtable for workflow automation.
