Job summary

Land O’Frost in Searcy, AR seeks a Parts Clerk to maximize parts availability for all departments. Responsibilities include receiving items, stocking, conducting inventories, and assisting technicians with parts retrieval.

• Deliver and retrieve parts to local vendors.
• Retrieve parts from vendors in Memphis, Little Rock and other cities as needed.
• Assist with Parts Department housekeeping.
• Identify opportunities for decreasing variation and cost of operation.
• Comply with Safety Policies and GMP procedures.
• Order parts low in inventory and set up new parts records.

Job Title: Parts Clerk

Division: Arkansas

Reports to: Parts Department Supervisor

Job Summary

The Parts Department Clerk will be involved in activities designed to maximize parts availability to all departments.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• 3D printing experience preferred and/or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Must be able to work in confined areas with widely varying temperature conditions.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Familiarity with operating a forklift.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook.
• Must be capable of acquiring basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical parts.
• Must have a good attendance record.
• Being versatile to work independently, with the inside team and with outside Vendors.
• Familiarity with IFS is preferred.

General Responsibilities

• Meet daily with the Parts Department Supervisor to define priorities for the days' activities.
• Receive inventory items and store in proper location.
• Take physical inventories.
• Assist maintenance technicians and other authorized employees with parts retrieval.
• Deliver and retrieve parts to local vendors.
• Retrieve parts from vendors in Memphis, Little Rock and other cities as needed.
• Assist with Parts Department housekeeping.
• Identify opportunities for decreasing variation and cost of operation in Parts Department processes and make recommendations for improvement.
• Comply with all company Safety Policies.
• Responsible for adhering to all food safety, quality, and GMP procedures specific to this position.
• Daily ordering of parts low in inventory, ordering new parts and special parts for maintenance.
• Setting up new parts records and updating old ones.

Equipment Operated

• Forklifts and EPJ’s.
• Computers, printers, 3D printers and iPads.

Physical Requirements

Constant walking, bending, stooping, and ladder climbing is required. Must be capable of lifting to 60 pounds as infrequently as four times a day.

Other Requirements

Must be able to drive alone to Little Rock, Memphis and other cities as needed to retrieve parts.
