Garland Independent School District is seeking a qualified professional for a construction project management role. The position involves overseeing capital improvement planning, budget management, and procurement within a public education environment.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with at least three years of related experience, or an Associate's degree with ten years of experience. A valid Texas driver’s license is required; TASBO certification is preferred.

Qualifications

Education/Certification

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years of experience OR
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent of two years of full-time study with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience
• Valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record
• TASBO Certification, preferred

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in construction project management, capital improvement planning/forecasting, general maintenance construction management, contract negotiations, contract administration, project budget management, and procurement of construction services, within a public education setting with a Bachelor's degree OR
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience with an Associate's or equivalent
• Supervisory experience with direct report employees
