Job summary

A logistics solutions provider in Hickory, NC is seeking a Wooden Crate Builder to prepare and assemble crates and palettes. Job description

With a focus on reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, our customer specializes in transportation, warehousing, and distribution services that help businesses optimize their operations. They are currently seeking for a Wooden Crate Builder for their distribution center.

Hourly Rate: $15.00

What You'll Do

• Prepare to assemble wooden crates, skid cabs, and palettes based on blueprints.
• Position boards, plywood, and sub-assemblies using templates or by measuring and marking them.
• Measure and fasten pre-cut wood and plywood to complete projects.
• Assemble skids and pallets from pre-cut lumber.
• Assist saw operators by stacking cut boards and plywood to specific sizes.
• Maintain a daily supply and inventory of essential items.
• Keep the work area clean and free of parts and debris.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and plant manager.

What You Need to Qualify

• Ability to read a measuring tape and some blueprints.
• Understand and follow work instructions in English.
• Able to operate a nail gun, screwdrivers, hammer, and other hand and air tools.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must have steel-toed shoes.
