Job summary

Wenatchee School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher at Washington Elementary to manage student IEPs and provide collaborative classroom support under a 1.0 FTE continuing contract. Special Education Teacher

Washington Elementary

1.0 FTE, Continuing Contract

DESCRIPTION: Management of student IEPs and educational plan, IEP paperwork, Attend and/or facilitate meetings (IEP, Eval), systems in place for goal progress monitoring, classroom support for implementation of IEP, facilitation of paras to support student IEPS. Collaboration with other case managers, inclusion specialists, classroom teachers, and other staff to support student IEPs. Attend building and district meetings and conferences as required. Other related duties.

QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Washington state teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement. Experience with writing and following the IEP and helping general education staff design and implement differentiated programming in core content areas. Must be able to work as part of a team and supervise placement of special education classified staff working to support the program. Knowledge of Special Education rules (state and federal). Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and proven ability for organization and meeting timelines. This job may require prolonged sitting or standing. Attendance and punctuality are key functions for this position.

SCHEDULE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED.
