Job summary

Wenatchee School District is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to fill a leave replacement in the Special Education Department from 08/31/2026 to 03/12/2027. The role includes assessment, therapy, Medicaid coordination, mandated reports, and collaboration with teachers, parents, and other team members to support students three through twenty-one.

ESA certification and active licensure are required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

DESCRIPTION:

Fulfill all obligations for a certificated Physical Therapist including but not limited to assessment, therapy, Medicaid, mandated reports, consulting with teachers, parents and working as a member of several teams. Must be able to meet multiple timelines, communicate well with parents, teachers, and administrators. Maintain up-to-date cumulative physical therapy records for all assigned students; maintain other records as required by the district, state and federal law; follow all relevant state and federal regulations for special education; maintain confidentiality. Participate in professional development activities as needed or assigned. Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ESA Certification. Certified Physical Therapist. Prior experience is helpful. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. Organized. Experience within a school system working with motor disorders and special education for students ages three through twenty-one. Maintain professional competence through continuing education activities; maintain physical therapy ESA certification. May require prolonged sitting or standing. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position.
