  • Generalist (EC - 4) or (EC - 6)
  • Teacher of Young Children - General Early Childhood (PK - 3) or (PK - 6) Core Subjects
  • Kindergarten Core Subjects with Science of Teaching Reading (EC - 6)

AND

One of the following endorsements is required:

  • English as a Second Language Supplemental *** All Early Childhood teachers must hold ESL certification.

AND

All Early Childhood Teachers must also meet one of the following:

  • a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or another early childhood education credential approved by the agency;
  • certification offered through a training center accredited by the Association Montessori Internationale or through the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education;
  • at least eight years' experience teaching in a nationally accredited child care program;
  • employment as a prekindergarten teacher in a school district with approved prekindergarten-specific instructional training;
  • or an equivalent qualification.
