This position involves working with early childhood students requiring special education services. The role is full-time with 187 duty days and is classified under Pay Grade 100.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certification with required endorsements, including Generalist (EC - 4 or EC - 6), Teacher of Young Children - General Early Childhood (PK - 3), Elementary (PK - 6), Core Subjects (EC - 6), Kindergarten Core Subjects with Science of Teaching Reading (EC - 6), and ESL certification.
  • All Early Childhood teachers must also meet one of the following:
    • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent
    • Certification from an accredited training center (e.g., Montessori)
    • At least eight years of experience in a nationally accredited child care program
    • Employment as a prekindergarten teacher in an approved district
    • Other equivalent qualifications
