Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid Texas Teaching Certification with required endorsements*
• Endorsements required: Generalist (EC - 4) or (EC - 6), Teacher of Young Children - General Early Childhood (PK - 3), Elementary (PK - 6) Core Subjects (EC - 6), Kindergarten Core Subjects with Science of Teaching Reading (EC - 6), and ESL certification.
• All Early Childhood teachers must hold ESL certification.

Additional Requirements

• One of the following: Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent, certification from an accredited Montessori training center, at least eight years of teaching in a nationally accredited child care program, employment as a prekindergarten teacher in an approved district, or an equivalent qualification.
