Nestlé USA is hiring an Industrial Refrigeration & HVAC-R Technician for 3rd shift to support ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, and plant utilities. This role offers hands-on training, certification support, and a retention bonus of $3,000 with a split payout over 8 months.

Starting pay is $35.64 per hour, plus a 3rd shift premium of $1.50 per hour. The position requires safety awareness, teamwork, and the ability to work in hot/cold environments on 12-hour shifts (2-2-3 rotation) with opportunities

Qualificações

Build a skilled trade career supporting the systems that keep a food manufacturing facility running. We are hiring an Industrial Refrigeration & HVAC-R Technician for 3rd shift. Bring your experience or grow your skills through hands‑on training, classroom support, and company‑provided certification assistance.

• Starting pay: $35.64 per hour, based on knowledge and demonstrated skill
• $3,000 retention bonus: $1,500 after 4 months of employment and $1,500 after 8 months of employment
• Shift premium: An additional $1.50 per hour for 3rd shift
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation

What You’ll Do

Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, and plant utility systems. You will also support Process Safety Management and serve on the factory Emergency Response and HAZWOPER teams.

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial HVAC-R and utility equipment
• Support ammonia refrigeration, drive-in coolers and freezers, glycol chillers, boilers, water treatment, compressed air, hydraulic, make-up air, and heat-exchange systems
• Monitor steam boiler and water chemistry controls
• Maintain reverse osmosis systems, softeners, and filters
• Complete equipment logs and reports in the computerized maintenance system

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• At least one year of manufacturing experience preferred
• At least one year of HVAC-R experience or related education preferred
• RETA CARO certification preferred; if not certified, you must earn it within your first year, with company‑provided course support
• Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
• Clear communication, teamwork, and time‑management skills
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments, at heights, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
