SourceIn is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Tulsa, OK team. You will design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software using C/C++ for marine and embedded systems, collaborating with hardware and software engineers across locations.

The role requires 3+ years of commercial embedded software experience, familiarity with embedded Linux, and Android exposure is a plus. You will contribute to the Navico Product Development process and help ensure high-quality software

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant commercial experience in embedded software development.
  • Professional experience developing embedded software using C/C++.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and hardware integration.
  • Experience using Git and modern software development workflows.
  • Intermediate‑level debugging and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team.
  • Experience developing Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java, with familiarity with the Android SDK and modern Android development practices.
  • Experience with embedded Linux.
  • Experience developing connected or IoT devices.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, or Ethernet.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Experience working within Agile development teams.
  • Understanding of software architecture and design patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software using C/C++.

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Tulsa, OK.

You’ll contribute to the development of products from concept, design, and prototyping through qualification and production, working closely with embedded hardware and software teams across multiple locations.

We’re primarily looking for someone with 3+ years of commercial experience in embedded software development, particularly with C/C++, embedded systems, and hardware integration.

Android experience is a plus, but not required. If you have a strong embedded software background and are interested in developing your Android skills, the team will provide opportunities to learn and grow in this area.

Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software using C/C++.

Design, develop, test, and maintain application software for embedded devices.

Work closely with embedded hardware and software engineers to integrate, debug, and validate products.

Contribute to product development from concept, design, and prototyping through qualification and production using the Navico Product Development (NPD) process.

Partner with other team members to develop software for processing and manipulating data.

Participate in software verification through unit, integration, and system testing.

Support system-level software verification and debugging.

Develop and integrate Android applications where applicable, using Kotlin and/or Java.

Work closely with engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams across multiple locations.

Produce and maintain technical documentation, including software designs and detailed requirements.

Provide test results and technical updates.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving software quality and development practices.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

3+ years of relevant commercial experience in embedded software development.

Professional experience developing embedded software using C/C++.

Familiarity with embedded systems and hardware integration.

Experience using Git and modern software development workflows.

Intermediate-level debugging and problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team.

Experience developing Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java, with familiarity with the Android SDK and modern Android development practices.

Experience with embedded Linux.

Experience developing connected or IoT devices.

Salary & Benefits

Hiring range: $70,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on skills and experience.
