The Barrington Community Unit School District 220 is seeking a Lunch/Recess Supervisor to oversee and guide students during lunch and recess at Barrington High School. The role requires managing student behavior, ensuring safety, and assisting students as needed. This position demands excellent communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with students.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and the ability to demonstrate patience and cooperation. Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and manage groups of children effectively.
The position of Lunch/Recess Supervisor was established for the purposes of supervising, assisting, and guiding students during lunch, recess, and open periods at BHS to ensure the safe and efficient operations of lunchroom and recess procedures.
Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time. Moving up to 50 pounds (pulling, pushing, lifting, carrying). Completing tasks using fine finger dexterity.
Reports to: Building Principal, Assistant Principal, Dean, or Coordinator of Safety
Supervises: Students during lunch/recess hour, passing periods, & open areas
