Job summary

Rapides Parish School District RPSB Maintenance Dept in Alexandria, Louisiana is seeking an Equipment Operator to assist in maintaining district buildings and grounds and to support a safe learning environment. TITLE: EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Five years’ experience operating lawn and or heavy equipment
• Be physically capable of performing strenuous work
• Be able to work independently and operate tractor, mowing equipment, truck with trailer and other machinery
• Have a good driving record

REPORTS TO: Lead Grounds Operator / Logistics Manager/Supervisor of Facilities

JOB GOAL: To assist the Lead Grounds Operator / Supervisor of Facilities in maintaining all Rapides Parish School District building and grounds to insure an appropriate learning environment.

TERM: Twelve (12) months

SALARY: MD-112

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform work as directed by Lead Grounds Operator
• Be diligent in performing work in safe manner
• Maintain a clean orderly equipment and work environment
• Maintain written records as required and directed
• Be responsible and use good judgment in the purchase of job materials
• Operate any vehicles in a safe manner and follow policies as directed
• Perform work in a professional and timely manner

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $29,848 Per Year
