GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Northland Pioneer College invites applications for a 9-monthfaculty position in Art. This position will consist of teaching 30credits per year: live, hybrid, or online via the institution’slearning management system. Responsibilities will includesupporting NPC’s values: 1) quality learning environment, 2)diversity and accessibility, 3) integrity and accountability, and4) collaboration toward success; as well as upholding the missionof providing, supporting, and promoting life-long learning.
Successful candidates will teach courses in the accreditedundergraduate Fine and Performing Arts, as well as other coursesfor which they are qualified and assigned; teach in a variety ofenvironments and modes (team-taught offerings, day offerings,evening offerings, online offerings, hybrid offerings, etc.) inaccordance with course outlines and instructional procedures;integrate technology with instruction; assess students in light ofthe institution goals, program goals, and course objectives;maintain appropriate scheduled office hours; provide service to thedepartment, division, college, and community as assigned by thesupervising department chair, dean or elected by peers; developgood working relationships with discipline-related professionals inthe College’s Service area; collaborate and participate inAZTransfer to foster transferability opportunities; serve as acommunity resource in area of expertise; be active in one’s fieldof expertise; travel within the College district.
Examples of Duties
Teaching responsibilities may include but are not restricted toundergraduate courses in Art (Three Dimensional). Other courses may be developed to fit the successful candidate’s expertise andprogram demand as approved by the appropriate Department Chair andDean.
