Smiths Hire are the Northwest’s Largest Independent Equipment Hire Company with 18 Hire It Centres across the Region. Currently in a period of expansion across the business, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced 3.5T Equipment Delivery Driver for our Lancaster Depot.

We are currently in an exciting period of expansion and are looking for a 3.5T Equipment Delivery Driver to join our business on our journey to expand our customer base and reach new heights!

As an Equipment Delivery Driver your responsibilities will be:

  • To carry out deliveries and collections to our customers in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in all aspects of the working day.
  • Drive the company vehicle responsibly and safely; obeying at all times the traffic laws and highway code.
  • An Equipment Delivery Driver must carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks ensuring any defects found are reported to the Fleet Manager.
  • Keep an accurate record of deliveries and collections using delivery documentation.
  • Ensure that any equipment on the vehicle is secured and protected where necessary.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
  • Digi Card is required for this role.
  • Carry out other tasks and duties as required.

Working hours: Monday to Friday (No Saturdays).

Employee Benefits:

  • Salary: £12.50 per hour.
  • 25 Days plus statutory holidays (33 days in total).
