Maintenance Technician - Tool & Die - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining tooling and press equipment
• Sharpens and makes shim sets for punches and dies
• Develops fixtures for assembly and Quality
• Works with Tooling Engineers and Tool makers to develop skills in maintaining dies and fixtures.

Qualifications

Education

Preferred: Technical/other training or better.

Experience

Required:

Must have experience/training in Hazard Communication, material safety data sheets, and Lockout – Tagout.

Familiar with CNC mills, surface grinders, and machining methods.

Proficiency in Windows-based Microsoft Office is required.

Must be able to pass a written maintenance examination and pass at a level above 70%. Successful candidates will also be required to successfully complete required coursework in the field.

Preferred:

Working knowledge in working with drawings created with Auto CAD, Solid Works, DWG, and others.

Ideal candidate has a minimum of (2) years related machine shop experience or related trade school degree.
