3.5 Hour Cook - Food Service

Job Description

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 3.5hours a day, 9 months; 2024-2025 school year and future terms.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• ServSafe certification course required within first year of hire
• Pass Physical Capabilities Test
• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation
• Knowledge of standard cooking skills
• Ability to interpret recipes and make necessary adjustments
• Ability to follow, read and comprehend written and verbal instructions and labels

JOB SUMMARY

The Cook will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the school kitchen/cafeteria to include assisting the Head Cook in preparation and service of food; cleaning and sanitizing items (i.e. food service, counters, equipment).
