Job summary

ATX Learning in Jefferson Township schools is seeking a reliable cafeteria worker to prepare and serve meals, operate the register, and maintain a clean, sanitary dining area. The role supports health and safety standards and provides responsive customer service.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass health checks, and maintain a clean background; CPR training is desirable and training on kitchen equipment will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Health requirements for new employees (e.g., TB test) must be met.
• Criminal background check showing eligibility for school employment.
• Food production skills and ability to use commercial kitchen equipment; willingness to be trained.
• Ability to follow nutrition, health, and safety regulations; basic math skills.
• CPR training is desirable; willingness to learn Heimlich maneuver if needed.
• Basic computer skills for register use and record keeping.

Job Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. New employees must meet all required health requirements (e.g., a negative tuberculosis test, etc.).
3. A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
4. Food production skills and the ability to use commercial kitchen equipment. Willingness to be trained in kitchen procedures and equipment as needed.
5. Ability to comply with nutrition, health, and safety regulations.
6. Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts.
7. Prior training or willingness to learn the Heimlich Maneuver and ability to perform procedures to assist choking victims. CPR training is desirable.
8. Basic computer skills.
