Job summary

Acumed is seeking a Milling Machinist for 2nd shift in Hillsboro, Oregon. The role involves setting up and operating multiple axis mills to produce precision components per SOPs.

Under supervision, you will monitor performance, inspect finished surfaces, and maintain a clean work area. Candidates should have machining experience and be able to read English for documentation and training materials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years related Acumed experience, or 3–5 years external experience.
• Completion of Tooling U and/or enrolled in Machining Classes, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to read, understand and complete all documentation.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate 3- and 5-axis Mills and set up machine tools to produce precision parts.
• Load and unload parts per standard operating procedures.
• Detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and start/observe machine operation.
• Visually inspect surfaces for flaws and smoothness.
• Keep work area clean and organize chip bins.
• Monitor machine performance and perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Collaborate with Senior Machinist and Process Engineers to improve cell processes.
