Job summary

MC Molds Inc is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for the third shift to set up and run 3-axis and 5-axis milling centers. You will download and edit programs, collaborate with the programming team to optimize mold component production, and inspect parts with precision tools.

A minimum of 2 years’ CNC experience with Heidenhain, Fanuc or Hurco is required, along with GD&T knowledge. Good communication, fixture/jig practices, and the ability to work overtime or weekends when needed are

Qualifications

• Requires at least 2 years of CNC machining experience on Heidenhain, Fanuc or Hurco controls.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T standards.
• Experience setting up and running 3-axis and/or 5-axis machines.
• Familiarity with fixture/jig practices and speeds/feeds for various materials.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends when needed.
• Must be able to run multiple CNC machines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Download CNC programs to controllers and verify readiness of setups.
• Set up and operate 3-axis and/or 5-axis vertical CNC milling machines.
• Create or edit milling programs at the controller as required.
• Collaborate with the programming department to optimize processes.
• Inspect parts during and after machining using precision measurement tools.
