Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to join our family-oriented team. You’ll create a fresh, welcoming store experience in our Fresh departments, share product knowledge, and assist customers with finding items.

You’ll maintain displays, stock products, and work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery, while following safety and sanitation procedures. This role emphasizes a positive, customer-first attitude, teamwork, and the ability to learn store technology.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
