Job summary

Blackrock Logistics Inc. in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Yard Coordinator (2nd shift) to safely move, spot, and stage trailers using a yard truck. You will coordinate with dock, warehouse, and transportation teams to ensure outbound and inbound freight stays on schedule.

The role requires the ability to perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintain accurate trailer records, and uphold DOT/Cal/OSHA safety standards. Weekend and night shifts are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience operating a hostler/yard truck in warehousing or logistics.
• Ability to operate yard management systems or handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Operate a hostler to move, spot, and stage trailers safely and on schedule.
• Coordinate trailer movements with dock, warehouse, and transportation teams.
• Connect/disconnect trailers and inspect landing gear, air lines, and electrical connections.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Track trailer numbers, locations, and status in YMS or logs.
• Maintain yard organization and communicate yard status to supervisors.
