Job summary

Linamar Corporation is seeking an X-Ray Associate for the 2nd shift in Michigan. You will inspect castings with radiographic equipment to detect internal defects and ensure quality.

You will interpret X-ray images, document results in the Plex system, and follow company written instructions and NDT standards. A High School Diploma is required; a related bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• NDT certification knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets radioscopic or radiographic images to accept or reject castings.
• Follow and adhere to the NDT certification program.
• Perform inspections by the written instructions supplied by the company and/or customer.
• Follow written instructions unless authorized by the Quality Manager for deviation.
• Demonstrate the ability to follow procedures for radioscopic and radiographic techniques for which certified.
• Ensure that x-ray equipment is functioning within operating parameters.
• Observe x-ray equipment for malfunctions and arrange repairs to maximize efficiency and safety.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Complete all production and quality paperwork in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
