Barron Industries in Oxford, MI, is seeking an experienced 2nd shift Working Production Supervisor to lead production across all departments (wax, shell, burnout, casting, finishing, shipping). The role focuses on daily/weekly goals, safety, and a disciplined work environment.

The candidate will guide a team in a high-precision manufacturing setting, ensuring smooth workflow, quality, and adherence to production schedules.

Competenze

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of supervisory or lead-person experience preferred.
• Experience in investment casting, precision machining, or a similar manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience working with quality systems, production documentation, and manufacturing ERP systems preferred.

Mansioni

• Coordinate materials requisition with first shift to ensure smooth production flow (no expedites) in Plexus.
• Complete paperwork and keep job status accurate in Plexus system (absent/tardy, AVO forms).
• Ensure employees understand daily production requirements and can complete assigned work.
• Achieve production output based on quoted rates.
• Identify and implement process improvements with quality and engineering.
• Accommodate rework with minimal disruption to production schedule.
• Conduct annual and 90-day employee reviews on time.
• Ensure all departments follow Production Control priorities.
• Maintain building security during shift.
• Act as first responder in accidents or incidents.
• Fill in where needed to keep production moving.

Barron Industries, a leader in aerospace and defense manufacturing since 1983, is seeking an experienced 2nd shift Working Production Supervisor to join our team in Oxford, MI. This position is responsible to lead and work with all production workers in all departments (wax, shell, burnout, casting, finishing, & shipping) on the 2nd shift in order to achieve daily/weekly production goals while providing a safe and well disciplined work environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Materials requisitioned in coordination with fist shift to ensure smooth production flow (no expedites) in Plexus
• Paperwork completed and job status accurate in Plexus system (absent/tardy, AVO forms
• Employees understand daily production requirements and are capable to complete the work assigned to them (use daily work report)
• Employees achieve production output based on quoted rates
• Improvements in process and methods identified and implements with quality and engineerin
• Rework is accommodated with minimal disruption to production schedul
• Employee reviews (annual and 90-day) are completed on time
• Make sure all departments follow priority generated by Production Contro
• Responsible for security of building during shift.
• First responder in case of accidents or incidents during shift.
• Fill in where needed to keep production moving.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate employees, provide direction, and hold team members accountable.
• Understanding manufacturing quality standards, inspection procedures, and process control requirements.
• Ability to identify production issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices, hazard recognition, accident reporting, and injury prevention.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond quickly to changing production priorities
