A leading manufacturing company seeks a skilled Welder II for its Garland, Texas facility. The role involves performing MIG and TIG welding, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring quality compliance while maintaining a safe work environment. Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma, experience with welding tools, and strong communication skills.
This description summarizes the requirements of a general set up Welder II level employee performing in the Welder II classification.
Perform experienced level work within Arcweld classifications. Work with Welder III and Team Lead employees to acquire skills required for promotion to Welder III level. Must demonstrate the ability to complete and understand direction from Team Lead and other Welder III-level employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma, GED and or equivalent experience with power and hand tools a plus
Basic Math and Communication skills required Arcweld certification a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift, carry, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 35 lbs. Employees also frequently bend, twist, and reach and may stand and/or walk up to 8-10 hours per day.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Job consists of working in a manufacturing facility. Job could consist of making changes by hand or by running machinery equipment. Will receive objects or parts on conveyer belt, be responsible for your portion of the job, and then pass materials down conveyer belt or to next worker.
