Job summary

Lake Air Products is seeking a 2nd shift Welder in Little Chute, WI with TIG/MIG and robotic welding experience. A $1.50 per hour shift differential applies to all 2nd shift work.

The role focuses on hands-on welding, layout, and quality checks, with opportunities to work on diverse projects in medical, aerospace, and industrial markets. Candidates should be able to read blueprints, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Robotic, TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld experience.
• Reading blueprints and performing all necessary measurements.
• Excellent people skills with ability to partner with leadership.
• Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies per specs.
• Observe welded tests such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and tolerance checks.
• Develop templates or tooling to hold and align parts.
• Determine equipment and welding methods per metallurgy and techniques.
• Inspect finished products against samples to ensure spec compliance.
• Inspect grooves, angles, or gaps using measuring instruments.
• Weld using GTAW, GMAW, flux-cored, plasma arc, and other arcs.

Position Summary

We are looking for 2nd Shift Welders to join our Little Chute, WI location. If you have TIG/MIG/Robotic experience and enjoy working with your hands, this could be a great position for you.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler
• Observe tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance
• Develops templates or tooling and other work aids to hold and align parts.
• Determines required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
• Examining finished products and spare parts and comparing them with samples to check whether the specifications are met.
• Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using measuring instruments
• welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in Robotic, TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld (TIG welding preferred)
• Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission
• Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Reading blueprints and performing all necessary measurements
