Job summary

stow Group is hiring a Material Handler - Order Picker for the 2nd shift in Adairsville, GA. The role supports warehouse operations, follows supervisor instructions, and ensures timely, accurate order picking and packing.

Candidates need 2+ years in warehousing, forklift experience, scanning and packaging knowledge, plus 5S and safety practices. We offer PTO, health benefits, 401k, and a tobacco-free campus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of forklift/reach truck/pallet jack experience with valid license preferred.
• 2+ years of order picking or similar warehouse experience required.
• Knowledge of warehouse layout (Hall A & B, powder warehouse, picking area).
• Product knowledge relevant to stored items.
• Warehouse procedures and safety compliance knowledge.
• Ability to use scanning equipment effectively.
• Ability to estimate order volume to select appropriate packaging.
• Knowledge of packaging requirements for shipping.
• Ability to use a scale during packing and labeling.
• Ability to replenish pick locations to optimize flow.

Responsibilities

• Follows scan/SAP instructions indicating replenishment needs
• Follows management instructions to improve work methods and prevent complaints or damages
• Gives instructions to order pickers and takes initiative to improve productivity
• Checks prepared orders
• Stores completed orders in stock
• Ensures overseas packaging complies with required standards
• Adapts to changes in work priorities
• Maintains order and cleanliness and ensures regular cleaning by order pickers
• Reports all relevant information to supervisors via end-of-shift report
• Assists colleagues when needed
• Requests creation of new storage locations to avoid order splits
• Checks open transfer orders daily to ensure orders are completed
• Transmits location data to the supervisor for master data updates
• Assists with inventory and cycle counting
• Promotes best practices among order pickers and suggests improvements
• Performs the same tasks as order pickers when available
• Conducts 5S audits
