Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Indiana to lead warehouse activities, manage a small team, and drive safety, quality and efficiency. You will oversee schedules, reports, and daily tasks while maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with no prior work experience; OR military rank of E-6, E-7, O-1, or O-2.
• Minimum of six months of experience in a warehouse or supply chain environment with demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise at least two direct reports including coaching, recognition, and performance management.
• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production activities within warehouse operations.
• Prepare and distribute operational reports to support day-to-day activities.
• Ensure schedules are implemented correctly and jobs are assigned and completed effectively.
• Manage vacation and time-off scheduling to minimize disruption and meet customer needs.
• Lead teammates on the floor, engaging in daily operations and safety practices.
• Conduct daily startup meetings to communicate work instructions and workflows.
• Drive teamwork through feedback and corrective actions.
• Promote safety via weekly meetings, JHA reviews, and facility walkthroughs.
• Maintain a clean, orderly workspace aligned with 5S standards.
• Supervise operations to meet KPIs and objectives.
• Develop a productive team through cross-training and motivation.
• Facilitate seamless handoffs and communicate key information across teams.
• Provide courteous customer service in high-pressure situations.
• Ensure inventory integrity and assist with physical inventories.
• Support the Operations Manager with special projects.
• Assist in maintaining facility security.
