Job summary

Emerson Discrete Automation in Aiken, SC is seeking a Material Handler to support stockroom operations, picking, packing, and shipping for domestic and international orders. You will use AS400/Ultriva to locate parts, manage labels, and assist with cycle counts.

The role requires forklift certification within 30 days of hire and prior warehouse or shipping experience, plus basic computer/ERP familiarity. 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–10:00 PM. Join a team focused on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, stockroom, material handling, or shipping environment.
• Basic computer skills and experience using inventory management or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, and FIFO principles.
• Ability to read pick sheets, accurately identify parts and quantities, and prepare materials for shipment.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks; forklift certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate AS400/Ultriva to locate parts, print labels, and track transactions.
• Create pick, pack and ship documents for WRO and International shipments.
• Analyze pick sheets to determine location, quantity, container, and affix part labels.
• Perform KANBAN and supermarket transfers and complete phone orders from assembly lines.
• Assist in cycle count activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized stock area with clearly labeled rows.
• Ensure parts are placed in designated locations with readable part numbers.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
