Job summary

Dal-Tile LLC, the largest tile and natural stone manufacturer in the United States, is hiring for a 2nd shift forklift operator in Texas. You will load/unload, pick, receive, putaway, and pack orders using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, and you’ll enter data into the Warehouse Management System.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of sit-down forklift, reach truck, and OP experience.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Good record keeping and listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak English.
• Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
• Keys order into Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy.
• Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping areas.
• Operates powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking.
• Opens crates and inspects product.
• Applies labels to product according to establishing procedures.
• Verifies shading of product and places into accurate warehouse location.
• Utilizes powered industrial equipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received.
• Keeps area safe, clean, and organized; follows standard operating procedures.
