Job summary

River City Millwork, a division of Rugby Architectural Building Products, in Rockford, IL, is hiring a Warehouse Associate (Loader) for the 2nd shift. You will manually load, unload, move, and stage building materials and operate a sit‑down forklift as needed.

The role requires physical stamina, safety focus, and teamwork to load, verify orders, and prep shipments for delivery. Benefits accompany this hands‑on position.

Qualifications

• Warehouse, material handling, shipping, receiving, manufacturing, or distribution experience preferred.
• Sit-down forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks accurately and safely for customer deliveries.
• Manually move, stage, and load building materials throughout the warehouse.
• Pick and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Operate a sit‑down forklift to transport heavy and oversized products.
• Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
• Verify products and quantities against customer orders.
• Safely handle long, bulky, and awkward‑shaped materials.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area.
• Attend safety meetings and follow all company safety procedures.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
