Job summary

Dakota Supply Group in Fargo, ND seeks a Warehouse Assistant Manager (2nd shift) to oversee daily warehouse operations and a small team of up to 5 staff. The role is full-time, salaried, with hours typically 2 PM to 11 PM, Monday–Friday, and occasional shift variations for business needs.

You will collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to drive safety, quality, and productivity, coaching employees, participating in hiring, and ensuring procedures are followed while delivering courteous service

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in warehouse operations with supervisory duties.
• Ability to lead and motivate a small team of employees.
• Safety training on material handling and forklift driving.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily warehouse operations for efficient workflow and timely task completion.
• Supervise up to 5 employees, conduct performance reviews and discipline when needed.
• Train, coach, and develop staff to improve performance and careers.
• Promote safety and enforce protocols; report incidents promptly.
• Participate in hiring, interview candidates, and recommend hires.
• Coordinate with Manager to implement improvements and boost productivity.
• Ensure tools/equipment are available and in good condition.
• Provide courteous service to customers.
