Ryder System, Inc. in Bolingbrook, IL is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead to oversee daily packing, picking, and shipping operations on the 2nd shift. You will lead a small team, ensure safety, accuracy, and on-time fulfillment in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate of 23.00–24.00 with a 1.00 shift differential, weekly pay, and strong benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) match. Prior leadership and forklift experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
• One year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
• One year or more previous Team Lead experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and leadership abilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement for operation efficiency.
• Perform warehouse tasks including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operation.
• Allocate resources and assign daily duties to team members.
• Inspire team toward KPI improvements using effective leadership styles.
• Provide orientation and tools to employees for their roles.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
• Handle daily paperwork and submit reports with action plans.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred

• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred

• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred

• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred

• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required

• Valid forklift operator's license certified

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Effective leadership skills

• Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment

• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

• Performs work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.

• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.

• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.

• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.

• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.

• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).

• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
