Job summary

Parts Authority in Hanover, MD is seeking a Warehouse Equipment Operator for the 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11pm) with an hourly rate of $19.50. Parts Authority is one of the fastest growing supply chain distributors, with 50 years of growth and plans for career advancement.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading with power equipment, operating carts, stocking by location, and assisting in inventory management.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience o perating power industrial equipment
• Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal
• Understanding Map Locations
• Sorting by alpha or numeric
• Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements
• Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail
• Great communication skills
• Regularly lift, push, pull and/or move objects 10-50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh up to 100 lbs.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach
• May be subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Responsibilities

• Uses power industrial equipment to load and unload, move or stack materials or products;
• Operates manual or electric carts in order to fill orders
• From the receiving area, scan and count items and load on cart
• Stock items appropriately by location and quantity
• Receive merchandise from vendors and other stores and put them in the proper location on the shelves
• Check off merchandise as received
• Correct mistakes found on the inventory count sheet
• Assist in pulling parts during busy times
• Work with stock manager to address any problems with orders
• Miscellaneous projects and perform other related duties as assigned
