Job summary

Whelen Engineering is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM) at the Chester, CT facility. Responsibilities include receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping support with RF scanning and light equipment operation to ensure efficient distribution.

The role requires basic computer literacy and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; English communication is essential. Prior warehouse experience is not required, and training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Entry-level warehousing role with minimal prior experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must communicate in English; safety and EH&S guidelines follow.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehousing and distribution tasks following established procedures.
• Resolve routine questions and escalate complex issues.
• Use RF scanner to pick and move products in the warehouse.
• Prepare and pack parts, transport to assembly or staging areas.
• Maintain accurate counts using scales, calculators and other devices.
• Operate WAVE and JLG lifts; may be trained to use forklift.
• Keep kit holding and storage areas organized.
