Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Alabama is seeking a Warehouse Worker for the 2nd shift. You will support shipping and receiving, optimize flow of products, and maintain safety and quality standards in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The role requires basic warehouse experience, ability to stand long shifts, and lifting up to 90 pounds. Starting pay is $15 per hour with benefits starting Day 1 and opportunities for growth in a team-driven setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• 1+ years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience 6+ months of experience operating a forklift and/or pallet jack
• Foodservice distribution or related industry experience

Responsibilities

• Performs general warehouse duties including forklift put-away, let-downs, will-call selection, returns, sanitation, break down pallets, wrapping pallets, order selection, loading, and receiving.
• Maintains safe and organized work area; reports hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Conducts daily safety checks on forklift/pallet jack.
• Inspects received items for damage and flags issues per policy.
• Maintains production paperwork and prepares for operations.
• Uses PPE and safety gear as required.
• Meets productivity and accuracy standards per location guidelines.
• Removes damaged items per policy.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
