Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for various tasks involved in the storage, organization, and distribution of goods within a warehouse setting. Warehouse associates may also be involved in inventory management, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and occasionally operating machinery such as forklifts or pallet jacks.

Where You’ll Be Working:

The individual selected for this role will be expected to work on-site at the Millcraft division located at:

9010 Rio Nero Drive, Independence, OH 44131

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate forklift, pallet jack, reach truck to pull and prepare outbound customer orders
• Build, wrap, sort, pick, pack, and stage customer orders
• Load outbound delivery trucks and will calls
• Consolidate product to maximize space utilization
• Repackage and/or relabel products due to damages/vendor errors and returns
• Stock received merchandise and/or movement of stock items
• Clean the workspace as you for and participate with the team in keeping the facility clean, safe and accident free
• Answer phones and follow-up on orders, shortages and/or mistakes.
  
  
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skill
• Attention to detail, organization and project management skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proven ability to read and interpret printed orders and direction
• Demonstrated record of safety and quality control
• Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
• Regularly exhibits a strong work ethic and high degree of self-motivation
• Perform duties under minimal direction
• High sense of urgency and be able to multi-task competing priorities
• Excellent attendance record.
• Must have proficient math skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift items that weigh a minimum of 50lbs regularly
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Minimum 1+ years’ warehouse experience, preferably in shipping and receiving
• Minimum 1+ years’ experience with Forklifts
• Minimum 1+ years’ experience with Pallet Jacks
