Job summary

Misfits Market, a mission-driven grocery delivery startup, is hiring a production associate for our refrigerated warehouse. You will select, pick, and pack items to accurately fulfill customer orders while preserving product quality and temperature requirements.

You’ll use a finger scanner and the Warehouse Management System (WMS), maintain inventory, and work with teammates to meet daily targets. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to work in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees).
• Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends if needed.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a finger scanner and WMS to locate and select products in the refrigerated warehouse.
• Pack items safely, respecting temperature requirements and packaging standards.
• Ensure picked items match orders and maintain Misfits' quality standards.
• Use appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transport.
• Conduct regular quality checks for damages, discrepancies, or expiring products.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet daily operational targets.
• Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with teams to ensure replenishment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE in a food-based, refrigerated environment.
• Keep workspace clean, safe, and organized; complete safety training on schedule.
• Develop knowledge across the production line, including box building and prep.

How you’ll support our operations

As a production associate in our warehouse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. Working in a temperature-controlled environment, you will be responsible for selecting, picking, and packing products with precision and attention to quality. This position requires a detail-oriented and reliable individual who can thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative team setting

What you’ll be doing

• Utilize a finger scanner and our Warehouse Management System (WMS) interface to accurately locate and select products from designated storage areas within the refrigerated warehouse.
• Safely and efficiently pack selected items into appropriate packaging, considering temperature-sensitive requirements for refrigerated products.
• Ensure that all picked items match customer orders and meet Misfits’ quality standards.
• Use the appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage or spoliage during transportation.
• Conduct regular quality checks on products to identify any damages, discrepancies, or expiration issues.
• Work closely with team members to achieve daily operational targets.
• Verify and maintain inventory levels within your bay, communicating effectively with other teams to ensure timely replenishment and minimize disruptions.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in a food-based, refrigerated environment.
• Help us maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace.
• Complete all assigned safety training as required in a timely manner.
• Maintain functional knowledge in all areas of the production line, including box building and prepping.
