Job Description

As a Vault Custodian, you will work with your team to maintain inventory in our cash vaults for our Loomis customers.

Responsibilities

1. Check identifying numbers or seals on deposit bags and change shipments against receipts or manifests.
2. Count items, record amounts and serial numbers, sign and date receipts and manifests.
3. Load/unload wagons or carts with bags/boxes of coins.
4. Sort cargo items by route.
5. Communicate verbally with co-workers and customers via telephone.

Requirements

• Ability to load/unload bags/boxes weighing about 50 lbs. multiple times during a shift.
• Ability to push loaded wagons and carts weighing several hundred pounds.
• Repetitive physical ability to bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, and reach.
• Ability to lift items weighing around 50 lbs. from the floor repeatedly.
• Ability to walk continuously between various work areas and stand on concrete floors for about 80% of the shift.
• Ability to sign, record, and prepare reports.
• Ability to perform basic math operations.
• Valid firearms permit or ability to meet firearms requirements per state law.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a vault room with limited outside light. Full-time hours average 40-50 hours/week, with at least 5 days during a 6-day work period.

Additional Qualifications

• Ability to maintain a stooped or squatting position for sorting.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English sufficiently.
• Meet state requirements for handgun license/permit or security officer license.
• Complete Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), which includes physical lift and transfer tests.
