Schaeffler in Danbury, CT is seeking a Machine Operator - Turning for the 2nd shift to support production of precision components.

You will set up machines, load tooling, monitor processes, inspect parts, and cooperate with maintenance for repairs. A high school diploma is required and candidates must be authorized to work in the US.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to use measuring instruments and identify defects.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to operate basic manufacturing machinery.
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• US Person for export control compliance as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines for production of various products, as assigned.
• Prepare machines for production by tooling and parametrization according to work order.
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes.
• Check production status within and between sequences and take action if deviations.
• Check finished parts/components and perform tests or functionality checks.
• Support maintenance in regular inspections and repair measures.
