Job summary

QXO, Inc. is seeking a Production Specialist - Truss Assembler for the second shift (3:00pm-1:30am) in Fremont, NE. You will support manufacturing by cutting, assembling, and handling materials, ensuring accurate, safe, and efficient production.

The role requires hands-on work in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on measurement accuracy, tool use, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Safety and quality are priorities as you assist with daily goals and material flow.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure and take basic measurements accurately.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable with hand tools and production equipment.
• Able to stand, bend, and lift 50+ lbs as required.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, construction, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment to cut, shape, and prepare materials per specifications.
• Read and interpret work orders, measurements, and basic drawings.
• Measure, cut, and verify materials using tape measures and other tools.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the production area.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to production and inventory.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and safe, including end-of-day cleanup.
• Follow all safety policies and use of PPE.
• Support team members to meet daily production goals.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

What you’ll do:

The Production Specialist - Truss Assembler (Second Shift - 3:00pm-1:30am) supports manufacturing and production operations by assisting in the cutting, assembly, and handling of materials. This role plays a key part in ensuring products are produced accurately, safely, and efficiently. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

• Operate production equipment and tools to cut, shape, and prepare materials according to specifications
• Read and interpret work orders, measurements, and basic drawings to ensure accuracy
• Measure, cut, and verify materials using tape measures and other tools
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met

• Ability to lift and move materials (50+ lbs as required)
• Comfortability with working in a manufacturing or production environment
• Comfortability with exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures
• Ability to work working indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions if necessary
• Ability to work early mornings, extended hours, or overtime if necessary
