Job summary

Alianza is seeking experienced and dependable 2nd Shift Truss Assemblers to join a fast-paced wood truss manufacturing operation in Kings Mountain, NC.

This hands-on production role focuses on assembly and construction of wood trusses. Candidates should have at least 1 year of truss-building experience and be comfortable using a measuring tape, hammer, hand tools, and production equipment. Outdoor weather conditions and temperatures may be encountered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience building or assembling wood trusses.
• Experience reading and accurately using a measuring tape.
• Experience using a hammer in a construction, truss, framing, or production environment.
• Previous experience with lumber, framing, construction, or building materials is preferred.
• Ability to understand basic measurements and follow production specifications.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical work during the shift.
• Strong attention to quality, measurements and assembly.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble wood trusses according to production specifications and measurements.
• Position and align lumber and truss components before assembly.
• Read and use a measuring tape throughout the process.
• Use a hammer and other hand/power tools safely and efficiently.
• Secure truss components according to production requirements.
• Follow drawings, measurements, work orders and assembly instructions.
• Inspect lumber and components for defects or incorrect measurements.
• Check completed trusses for proper dimensions and alignment.
• Move and handle lumber and assembled components in the work area.
• Maintain production and quality standards and keep area safe and clean.
• Communicate concerns to the supervisor.

2nd Shift Truss Assembler

Location: Kings Mountain, NC 28086
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 2:30 AM
Overtime: Saturday overtime may be available based on production needs

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and dependable 2nd Shift Truss Assemblers to join a fast-paced building materials manufacturing operation in Kings Mountain, NC.

This is a hands-on production position focused on the assembly and construction of wood trusses. Candidates must have at least one year of previous truss-building experience and be comfortable using a tape measure, hammer, hand tools, and production equipment.

The position involves physically demanding work and is performed in a production environment that may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and changing temperatures.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and assemble wood trusses according to production specifications and measurements

• Position and align lumber and truss components correctly before assembly

• Accurately read and use a measuring tape throughout the assembly process

• Use a hammer and other hand and power tools safely and efficiently

• Fasten and secure truss components according to production requirements

• Read and follow basic drawings, measurements, work orders, and assembly instructions

• Inspect lumber and components for defects, damage, or incorrect measurements

• Check completed trusses for proper dimensions, alignment, and overall quality

• Move, position, and handle lumber and assembled components throughout the work area

• Meet established production and quality expectations

• Keep the work area clean and free of safety hazards

• Follow all workplace safety procedures and equipment guidelines

• Communicate production, material, or quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor

Required Qualifications

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods

• Must be able to bend, reach, twist, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements

• Must be able to lift, carry, position, and handle lumber and building materials

• Must be comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the shift

• Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, and changing temperatures

• Steel-toe boots or steel-toe shoes are required

• Must follow all required PPE and workplace safety standards
