Job summary

Athens Services is seeking a skilled Truck Welder to join our Fleet Maintenance team in the Los Angeles area. You will operate welding equipment (MIG/Arc) to repair vehicles and fabricate parts as needed, while performing safety inspections and documenting repairs.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in welding, read technical information, and communicate welding issues clearly. Must possess personal tools and maintain OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Trade school certification required.
• 5+ years welding experience (MIG/Arc) and fabrication.
• Familiar with DOT CHP repair processes and DVIRs.
• Ability to communicate welding issues and repairs.
• Read and understand service/technical information.
• Valid Class C Driver's License and clean record.
• Must possess personal tools and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment to repair vehicles/equipment.
• Fabricate parts/components as needed.
• Perform safety inspections on vehicles/equipment.
• Assess weld depth/penetration and bead size.
• Complete repair paperwork and parts usage records.
• Attend safety/compliance training.
