Job summary

Shift: 2nd Shift (Hours: Start- 2:30pm, End- 11p to 1a)

Pay: $34.64

Shift Premium: Plus $1

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000

Responsibilities

• Utilize skills and knowledge to build, maintain, troubleshoot and improve tooling and procedures.
• Operate all equipment, tools, and gauges in the tool room safely and efficiently.
• Layout work and plan machining and bench procedures.
• Perform difficult machining operations requiring complicated setups that involve improvising tooling and machines for adaptation beyond the normal ranges and capacities of available equipment.
• Clean and perform all daily and periodic maintenance necessary for this equipment.
• Know the properties and uses of different metals and materials, and know the feeds, speeds, coolant/lubricant and compatible cutting tool material to utilize or apply.
• Prioritize jobs and work independently and expeditiously until the job is completed.
• Show ability to assume a leadership role in an orderly investigation team.
• Properly document all findings and record all corrections or improvements, providing detailed drawings and sketches of the alterations or modifications for engineering documentation.
• Read and understand customer part prints/blueprints and build tooling with proper dimensions, clearances & tolerances, fasteners, strippers, fool-proofing, etc.
• Program CNC equipment.
• Weld different types of metals.
• Heat treat (harden, anneal, and normalize) different types of metals.
• Operate forklifts, computers, and edit CNC programs.
• Must have completed a state journeyman tool & die apprenticeship or equivalent.
