Job summary

Thai Summit America is seeking a 2nd shift Facilitator to implement work schedules, monitor production associates, and report variances. You will help develop associates through positive relations, assist with project launches involving customers and engineers, and pursue growth toward becoming a Facilitator.

You will create work instructions for new launches, support safety standards, and collaborate with other Facilitators to keep the day on plan, while fostering a professional daily

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year assembly experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Basic computer skills: MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) and ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Assigning, directing and training of Associates with no responsibility for initiating action on hiring, firing, workforce alignments, disciplining, evaluating, lay-offs, promotions or rate increases
• Promote continuous improvement programs and strive to maintain and improve productivity
• Remain accessible to Associates the majority of the time and respond to Associates concerns, complaints, problems, suggestions, etc. and provide information, answers and assistance in a reasonable time period
• Verify material usage, downtime and quality of products produced
• Analyze causes for variations in processes and assist in the development of countermeasures
• Create, prepare and maintain reports and related document files
• Follow company policies and procedures and report violations as they occur
• Develop work instructions for new launches
• In the absence of your Facilitator, you will be expected to work closely with the other Facilitators to make the day run according to plan
• Ensure continuous efforts to promote company safety standards throughout the plant floor
• Create and maintain a professional environment on a daily basis. Make sure your mannerisms and actions are professional at all times

2nd SHIFT

Primary Job Function

Implement the work schedules through direct assignment and monitoring of production Associates. Identify and report causes of production variances to designated authority. Support the development of associates through positive human relations strategies. Attend and assist in project launches using a hand’s on approach while working with the customer and Engineers. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management. Must have the desire and ability to learn the Facilitator’s role and have future aspirations to become a Facilitator. Be willing to take any training required to accomplish this goal.

Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements

• Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs
• Occasional lifting, climbing, carrying, pulling, griping, grasping, twisting, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the work day
• Hand and eye coordination
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours or more
• Ability to work in office and manufacturing environment
